Having competed the last two years in Washington DC, due to a scheduling conflict, we decided to enter the Harmony Sweepstakes New York Regional Competition this year. Harmony Sweepstakes is the premier American showcase for vocal harmony music, and is celebrating its 20th year promoting a cappella music. High Five proudly finished the evening with second place honors. We salute first place Vox Bop who will represent the New York region well at the National Competition in San Francisco in May.

September 8, 2002 - Honored and thrilled beyond measure, High Five got to be a part of the Kennedy Center 31st Birthday Open House. What an overwhelming yearly event, this Open House is, and to be one of the artists was quite an honor. With thousands of people in attendance, and over 500 volunteers, it is quite an event to put on. An added treat for us was singing on the ERC stage that afternoon!
Special thanks to Morey and Nicole, our host and hostess for the day. They did an excellent job of shepherding us to wherever we needed to be, carting water, watching bags, and taking pictures. Thanks guys.
Our First Album is now complete and the first one unwrapped and played on March 1, 2002! What an exciting time in the life of High Five.
